Each cases is different so our approach to each case is different.  We also utilize other professionals if necessary, such as accountants, financial planners, and investigators.

Rene Cespedes, Attorney

Rene Cespedes has been practicing law since 1993.  He worked as a prosecuting attorney in California for three years, and then as a King County Prosecutor in Washington for seven years. As a Senior prosecutor, he handled complex trials in State Superior Court and the Court of Appeals.  In 1999, Rene left the prosecutors office and was a founding member of the Bellevue law firm, Cespedes and Griffin. He has dedicated himself to exceptional legal representation on divorce and family law matters while providing personal attentive service to clients.

Years of courtroom experience are invaluable to clients.  He knows that family law cases should be resolved outside the court room, but his years of experience serve clients with an effective and experienced litigator if court is necessary.

He believes in educating his clients, and strives to provide an honest and realistic picture of what the process will be like and possible outcomes. Years of experience have provided Rene with a comprehensive understanding of how the system works, which has proven invaluable in formulating effective strategies. When you combine experience, thorough case preparation with the personal attention to clients and their cases you will get the best possible outcome.

Rene was the recipient of Washington Law & Politics 2001 and 2004 Rising Star Award. He is a member of both the Washington and California State Bars, King County Bar Association, King County Family Law Section and the Washington State Trial Lawyers Association.  He has presented at continuing legal education courses for other attorneys, made presentations to law enforcement and serves on the volunteer settlement panel.

In 2016 Rene received the "Preeminent" rating by Martindale Hubbell which is the "highest" peer rating standard.   This rating signifies that the lawyer's reviewed peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence for their legal knowledge, communication skills and ethical standards.
